The Dental Shopper

The Dental Shopper website was our first major project using the Business Catalyst (BC) platform. BC was the first fully integrated hosting package that combined eCommerce (catalog, payment gateway providers), email marketing, web hosting for Adobe Muse website, integrated CRM database, reporting & analytics, and social media integration. Adobe purchased Business Catalyst in 2009, and struggled with it, and in 2018 announced that they were going to abandon it, effective 9/26/21.

Replacing BC was not an easy task! The site was relaunched 9/1/2021 and is now on the Siteglide platform with a new design. Members can pay for and upload classified ads, all of which is accessed by a searchable database. Custom JavaScript was used to create various options with the “Reader Ads” such as bold listings, tracking word count, listing in multiple locations, all of which is reflected in the bottom line cost to the member.
